Lynette Merriman, senior associate dean of students, oversees Student Support and Advocacy, the Center for Women and Men, Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Development, Parent Programs and Residential Education. Lynette has worked at USC for over 20 years, primarily in academic units, on both the Health Sciences and University Park campuses. She has researched and published in the area of college parent involvement and lectures in the areas of crisis management, student affairs, parent involvement and leadership.
Lynette received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from USC, a master’s degree in higher education and a doctorate in educational leadership from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the International Leadership Association.
